    At the bottom of the page, I really wonder if when she said that 'something so absorbed is finished as a force..." she meant 'as a force of change' ? For surely something assimilated directly into the fabric of a culture is not 'finished as a force', as in fact this shift in social thought and philosophy has become entrenched into the foundations of our current world, and is now a staple of the intellectual air we breathe?
